Volunteers
needed for Goodyear Ballpark?s 2010 Spring Training games
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (Nov. 23, 2009) The City of Goodyear is
looking for volunteers for 2010 Spring Training games and other events at Goodyear
Ballpark throughout the year. Be part of the fan experience!
Volunteer duties include
ushering, ticket taking, Ticket Office Support and Guest Services. Spring
Training volunteers are needed from mid-February through early April. Volunteers
are asked to commit to working a minimum of five Spring Training games.
Each volunteer receives:
- Ballpark
shirt
- Ballpark
hat
- Customer
service training
- A
food voucher each game worked
Volunteers must be at least 18
years old and attend mandatory training sessions provided by the City of Goodyear.
Volunteer applications may be
submitted online at www.goodyearaz.gov/ballpark or
in person at the Ballpark on December 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m
In addition to Spring Training activities,
Goodyear Ballpark and Recreational Complex hosts year-round community events
such as youth, amateur, high school and college baseball tournaments, holiday
festivals, arts and crafts shows, corporate events, concerts and more.
Goodyear Ballpark seats more
than 10,000 guests and features a 360-degree concourse with a constant field
view, six luxury suites, several party and group pavilions, club seating and spacious
lawn seating.
The Cleveland Indians joined
the Cactus League in 2009. The Cincinnati Reds moved into their new Spring Training
headquarters this fall, and make their Cactus League debut in February. Both Ohio teams now call Goodyear Ballpark their spring training home, and are expected to draw
record crowds.
