Goodyear Ballpark ticket sales, team shop, food tasting set for Jan. 9
The beginning of the new year means baseball season isn’t far away – and Goodyear residents won’t have to wait much longer to catch Cactus League fever.
Goodyear Ballpark, the spring training home of the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians located at 1933 S Ballpark Way, will hold its Ticket Office and Team Shop opening event on Thursday, Jan. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. At the event, fans can purchase 2020 spring training tickets, buy brand-new Cactus League gear, and sample new food items that will be available at Goodyear Ballpark this season. Mystery bobbleheads will be given away to fans while supplies last.
Food and drink items available for sampling at Thursday’s event will include:
-Loaded corn dog nuggets
-Garlic Parmesan waffle fries
-Desert tenders sandwich (buffalo chicken tenders on slider buns)
-A nacho helmet (nachos served in a keepsake team helmet)
-The Cheesy Changeup (a half-pound cheeseburger surrounded by two grilled cheese sandwiches, made with Texas toast)
-A debut of a new burger, with a name-our-burger contest
-Beer samples from Saddle Mountain Brewing Co.
Professional Sports Catering, the ballpark’s contracted concessionaire, is hiring for the upcoming spring training season. PSC will host a pair of job fairs – Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to hire operational staff for the season, including bartenders, cooks, servers, vendors, cashiers, managers and warehouse personnel. The Goodyear Ballpark Ticket Office and Team Shop will begin regular hours Friday, Jan. 10 and will resume Monday, Jan. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
