Goodyear, Ariz. (March 6, 2017) –The city of Goodyear joins communities across the nation in hosting a local Kids to Parks Day event on Saturday, May 20 from 8 - 10 a.m. at Goodyear Community Park, 3151 N Litchfield Road. In its seventh year, the ‘national day of play’ brings hundreds of thousands of children nationwide in support of the motto that “active kids are healthy kids”.

Organized by the National Park Trust, the event encourages children across the country to promote healthy outdoor living by encouraging kids to explore parks; discover science; learn history; experience nature; and enjoy an outdoor adventure. Specifically in Goodyear, the activities include water balloon toss; relay races; hula hoop and jump rope competitions; and kite flying.
