Goodyear Library hosts local artists’ works throughout the year

Goodyear, Ariz. (July 11, 2017)
– The city of Goodyear announces a call to artists for the upcoming art exhibit titled ‘Artwork Big & Small’ that will be on display at the Goodyear Branch Library, 14455 W. Van Buren C-101, from September through November. The deadline to submit works for the fall art show is August 15.

Artwork Big & Small is a show that invites artists to depict their unique point-of-view of the world, captured in a specific moment in time to bend the viewers’ perception by toying with the size of the artwork and subject matter.

West Valley artists 18 years and older are invited to submit up to two pieces of two-dimensional artwork smaller than 10” x 10” or larger than 30” x 36”. Artwork will be juried by a panel of: art professionals; city staff; and members of the academic community. Judging criteria will include: adherence to the theme; originality; artistic quality; and composition. Artists will be notified of the panel’s decisions on August 29.

Artwork Big & Small is one of several opportunities West Valley artists have to display their creative works to the public.
