Goodyear Community Park hosts concert, activities

Saturday, Nov. 4
7 – 9 p.m.
Goodyear Community Park, 3151 N. Litchfield Road, Goodyear

Goodyear, Ariz. (Oct. 11, 2017) – Teens are invited to come out to Goodyear Community Park, 3151 N. Litchfield Road, on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. for a free hangout. Featuring music, games, activities, raffles and prizes, the evening of fun takes place in conjunction with a concert by the New Frequency Band, which is the final performance in the Fall Concert Series.

“We have set aside a special place for teens during the concert so parents can enjoy themselves and their teens can have their own fun, nearby in the park,” said Recreation Coordinator and event organizer Deanna Ortiz. “We wanted to create a way for families with teens to have fun at an event in a way that appeals to both generations.”

Those enjoying the free concert are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to be comfortable during the performance. Picnicking is welcome or food can be purchased from one of the on-site vendors. No glass is permitted in the park for safety reasons.

For more information, and to find out what is happening each month to keep teens active and engaged, call 623-882-7525, email gyrec@goodyearaz.gov or visit www.goodyearaz.gov/rec.
