Daylong event dubbed outdoor art studio
Goodyear, Ariz. (Oct. 29, 2018) – Goodyear’s Arts and Culture Commission wants the public to not just view art – but to get down and dirty with it.
The city is hosting daylong events on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Goodyear Community Park, 3151 N. Litchfield Road, where attendees can try their skills at chalk, clay, inks, and paint. Supplies and entry are free, and food is available for purchase.
- Chalk art – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Professional artists transform sidewalks into beautiful works of art. The public is encouraged to get in on the fun by creating their own masterpieces. Aspiring artists can preregister.
- Art bash – 3 to 7 p.m. Get into the creative spirit by sitting at one of several art stations: hand-building with clay; painting; alcohol inks; fiber arts.
- Fall concert – 7 to 9 p.m. Take the day into the night with a live performance of funk, dance and Motown favorites by Outside the Line.
