Calling All Teens: Become a Leader in Your Community & Help Shape the Future

Now accepting applications for the Goodyear Youth Commission

Goodyear teens eager to play a role in local government, or to learn more about it, are encouraged to apply to join the Goodyear Youth Commission.

The Goodyear Youth Commission provides a venue for students to develop leadership skills through involvement in city government and creates a format for students to express their voice on a variety of youth-related issues such as youth programming, recreation opportunities, and special events.

“These students are the future leaders of our city, and their input on programs and services offered by the city is valued tremendously,” said Mayor Georgia Lord. “It is important for our youth to become engaged now rather than later, and I have great confidence in them.”

This unique opportunity is open to high school students in Goodyear, or students entering high school in fall 2019.

For more information or to apply, call (623) 882-7782, email John.Raeder@goodyearaz.gov or visit goodyearaz.gov/boardsrecruit. Applications are due Friday, May 24.
