About the Show: Chalk Art in the Park is a collaborative art event between the city of Goodyear and the Goodyear Arts and Culture Commission. The event will consist of optional artists’ booths where artist will be able to showcase and sell their work. In addition to the artists’ booths, each artist is to create a unique sidewalk chalk art design in their designated space.

Artist Requirements: This is a ‘lightly’ juried show. All artwork displayed must be original work executed by the artist (no buy/sell). All artwork must be family friendly. Exhibitors who bring unacceptable items will be asked to remove them from the show. All artist are required to participate in the sidewalk chalk art competition and hosting an artist booth is optional. There is no booth fee but the artist must create the chalk artwork in their designated square and the artist is solely responsible for their sidewalk chalk art. A standard colored soft pastel starter kit, lunch voucher from onsite food vendor RM Big Dawgs, along with a swag bag of miscellaneous items will be provided to registered artists. However, you may bring your own specialty chalk if you wish. 

ALL CHALK TO BE USED MUST BE WASHABLE (NO OIL BASED CHALK). All sidewalk chalk artist will be competing for prizes.

Artist Sales: Artists keep 100% of their sales. Artists are responsible for collection of all their sales and reporting of taxes.

Timeline:

Check-in / Registration: 6:30am – 8:00am (Look for the Goodyear Arts & Culture tent for check in)

 Artist Booth Setup complete by: 8:00am

 Sidewalk Chalk Art: Artwork must be completed by 2:00pm

 Awards: 1:30pm

 Take-Down: Begins at 2:00pm (artists must stay until 2pm no early take-downs please)

Booth: A 10x10 area will be provided. Tents are recommended, but not a requirement. There is no electricity available. Artists are responsible for their own tents and displays including chairs and tables. There is no fee for artists tents. All tents must be weighted (no staking).
