ACTIVITY LEVEL RATINGS 

Transportation may require negotiating two to eight steps getting in and out of a vehicle. Individuals unable to manage the above will be required to arrange for assistance (on their own) prior to trip departure.

GREEN - Activity requires minimal physical exertion & is appropriate for most individuals. Participants can expect leisurely walking on mostly flat surfaces, minimal standing/waiting, and few stairs. 

YELLOW - Activity requires moderate physical exertion & is somewhat physically demanding. Participants can expect any or all of the following: significant walking, standing, stairs, and uneven surfaces. 

RED - Activity requires significant physical exertion & is very demanding. These trips are designed for individuals who lead very active lives and are comfortable participating in up to 5 hours of physical activity per day. Trip activities will have a high level of intensity and may include exposure to high altitudes, narrow/enclosed areas which may be difficult for persons with mobility or claustrophobic concerns.

TRIP POLICIES

  • Transportation used for outings typically requires you to negotiate 2-8 stairs getting in and out of a vehicle. People unable to use stairs independently are responsible to make arrangements for personal assistance.
  • Transportation is subject to change.
  • All trips require a minimum number of registrations.  Please adhere to the deadlines as trips will be cancelled if the minimum is not reached.
  • Registration for trips is done on a first-come/first-serve basis.  Payment is due at time of registration.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure times.
  • For events where a ticket has been purchased or space booked from an outside agency (theater, travel/bus co., etc) we cannot issue a refund due to a cancellation after registration deadline.
  • Trips/activities cancelled by the city will result in a credit to your account or a refund will be mailed to you in approximately 3-4 weeks.
  • No credits will be given for cancellations on casino trips; no credit toward future trips.  

 


 

Frank Llyod Wright Tour - Taliesen West, Scottsdale 

Tour Wright's beloved winter home. Established in 1937, it was built and maintained almost entirely by Wright and his apprentices, making it among the most personal of the architect's creations. Price includes Motor Coach transportation and admission. Activity level: Yellow

Dedicated to the advancement of American Indian Art, the Heard successfully presents the stories of American Indian people from a first-person perspective, as well as exhibitions that showcase the beauty and vitality of traditional and contemporary art. Prices includes Motor Coach transportation and admissions. Meals not included. Activity level: Yellow

Cliff Castle has been voted the #1 casino for over 17 years. It's Senior Day at Cliff Castle and there will be extra Senior Promotions throughout the day. At time of registration, you must provide legal name and birth date. (Valid Photo ID is required to bring on trip. Price includes Motor Coach transportation and $25 Castle Club Card. Meals not included. Activity level: Green

Kartchner Caverns State Park, Benson

Come tour a living cave in Southeastern Arizona that boasts world-class features! This "live" cave hosts a wide variety of unique minerals and formation that have formed over 100,000 years. Tour is a half of a mile in length and takes approximately an hour and a half to complete, 50 minutes of which is underground. The cave has an average temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit. The Discovery Center features museum exhibits, a gift shop, and a theater. Stop by the Bat Cave Cafe for lunch and enjoy your meal in a relaxing patio atmosphere surrounded by the Hummingbird Garden.
