Aikido Self-Defense Class (6-12 yrs)

Aikido is a defensive martial art where the defender uses the attacker’s own energy to avoid and neutralize the attack. It employs joint locks, take downs, and throws. Suitable for the non-athlete and all ages. Emphasis is on humility, mutual respect, and reconciliation.

August 2-30, September 4-27, October 2-30, November 1-29, December 4-27, January 8-31
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-7 p.m.
Goodyear Community Center, 420 E. Loma Linda Blvd.

Class fee: $40 per session, payable to the City of Goodyear at the time of registration.

CrossFit Fury

Fury Warriors (3-5 years)
This class introduces skill movements and efficient exercise with an active game in each class. 
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 p.m..
6 weeks for $120, Punch Card: $130/10 sessions, Daily: $15

Fury CrossFit Kids (6-12 years)

The class works on skill movements, efficient exercise, and includes an active game in each class. As they work through a variety of challenges and overcome obstacles, the kids learn to appreciate the tenacity and understand what they are truly capable of. 
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5-6 p.m.
Saturdays, 8-9 p.m.
Monthly Auto-pay: $115, Punch Cards: $130/10 sessions, Daily: $15

Fury Student-Athlete (13+ years)
This program is a CrossFit based strength and conditioning program for junior high school athletes in their on or off season. No prior experience is needed. This is the best way to prepare your child to excel in high school, club, and collegiate athletics.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-4:30 p.m. ; Saturday 9-10 a.m.
Monthly Auto-Pay: $115/month
Punch Card: $130/10 sessions
Daily: $15

Karate

This is a beginning karate class in which we start with the fundamentals and build upon your skills at your own pace.  We are family oriented and work with youth and adults of all ages!  Shotokan Karate is a fun and easy way to learn self-defense, develop confidence and promote a healthy life-style.  Small classes with friendly instructors will guide you step-by-step!

September 10-October 1, October 8-29, November 5-26, December 3-17, January 7-28

Class fee: $20 per month for individuals, $15 per additional family member, will be paid to the instructor the first day of class.

YMCA Aquatics

All residents of the City of Goodyear receive a 10% discount on monthly membership dues and we will waive the joining fee up to $50. Proof of residence is required.

Swim lesson pricing: 8, 30 minute sessions are $50 for Members, $100 for Non-Members (2 week sessions) June- October

Swim lesson pricing: 4, 30 minute sessions are $25 for Members, $50 for Non-Members (Saturdays) Year Round

Private and Semi-private lessons are available.

YMCA Westside Silver Fins/Masters Swimming (5 years - adult)
This is a year round club swim program with practices held during the evening.
