Message from Chief Geier

The Goodyear Police Department is a professional and progressive organization taking great pride in providing excellent customer service to the community. The Department is committed to the philosophy of community policing, providing many protective and proactive policing programs such as Police/School Substation Program, Prescription Drug Disposal Box Program, Police Assistant Program, Coffee with a Cop Program and the integration of Social Media, resulting in a low crime rate.

The Goodyear Police Department leads our profession with integrity, transparency, and we strive to be a model agency in the law enforcement community. We believe in promoting organizational strategies that support the systematic use of community partnerships and problem-solving techniques.  We believe in being proactive in addressing public safety issues such as crime, social disorder and the fear of crime, which is evidenced by programs and divisions such as the Neighborhood Enforcement Team (NET), the Community Services Division, School Resource Officers and a highly trained K9 Unit. It is our pleasure to be part of the West Valley and serve the community of Goodyear and its residents.

The Goodyear Police Department strives to bring peace of mind as well as quality of life to the community and citizens we serve, which includes giving back to the community and those in need.  Goodyear Police Department is a huge supporter of the Arizona Special Olympics.  Each year our officers participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Arizona Special Olympics.  In addition, we regularly support this great organization with fundraisers such as the Softball Tournament, Tip a Cop Events, and Annual Guns and Hoses Football game.

The men and women of the Goodyear Police Department are proud of our agency and community and look forward to being your partner in a safe and prosperous city of Goodyear.  It is my honor to serve as your Chief of Police and I invite you to contact me with any comments, questions, or suggestions you might have about the Police Department.
