Industrial Pretreatment Program

The City of Goodyear’s Industrial Pretreatment Program will not only protect the city's wastewater treatment plants and collection system, but enable the city to be a part of a nationwide effort in protecting the public waterways. The program is designed to identify industrial and commercial dischargers to the sewer system whose processes may cause interference with the safe and economical operation of the wastewater treatment works. Preventing pass-through of harmful chemicals to the system is also regulated. These goals are met by issuance of permits, inspections and regular sampling of the discharges by a wastewater representative.
