FREE Seasonal Water Conservation Class Series

The City of Goodyear offers FREE water conservation classes at several times throughout the year.   Check back for more listings.

All classes are held in the Training Room at the Public Works Admin Building, 4980 S. 157th Ave., Goodyear, AZ 85338, **unless noted otherwise**.  Public Works Admin Building is located south of MC85 and west of Estrella Parkway. Enter from Estrella Parkway on Romley Road next to Roscoe Dog Park.

Watering for Health and Beauty

As much as 70% of an Arizona household’s water can be used outdoors. Learn how to minimize water use and still have a beautiful landscape. Practice setting efficient watering schedules on irrigation timers. Receive scheduling guidelines.

Composting Workshop

Composting is nature’s way of recycling. Composting helps you reduce your waste, improve the health of your gardens, and it’s easy. This workshop covers why composting helps, how to set up and maintain a compost pile, and ways to use the finished compost. Tired of turning the pile every week?  Let worms do it by vermicomposting. Learn both methods and decide which works better for you. Taught by Master Gardener.
