Thank you for a great Spring Training Season!
The 2009 spring-training season has come to an end, and what a fantastic season it was! Although the team finished 12-20, attendance was excellent! Almost 100,000 fans attended spring-training games at the Ballpark, a record for the Cleveland Indians. The final tally represents a 14 percent increase over the team's previous record in 2008. The season’s high attendance resulted in strong ticket sales, which grossed nearly $1.6 million and is about 17 to 20 percent higher than projected.
Join us in 2010, when the Cactus League will expand to 15 teams, with the Cincinnati Reds sharing the Goodyear complex with the Indians. The Reds Development Complex is now under construction here in Goodyear and will be ready for the team in August 2009.
