What we do
The Fire Department provides services directed at the prevention and control of fires, accidents, and other medical emergencies in order to preserve lives and protect the property of the community. The Fire Department currently has six fire stations located throughout Goodyear and also has a trained hazardous materials team.

NEWS FLASH
On Saturday, August 29th at approximately 8:00 p.m. the Goodyear Fire Department Wildland Team was deployed as part of the Central Arizona Wildland Response Team (CAWART) to assist with the Station Fire near Los Angeles, California. The fire started late last week and quickly grew in size to a reported 148,258 acres with over 4,847 firefighters battling to contain the fire.
