What we do

Volunteer Services offers residents the opportunity to be part of the "Goodyear Gives Back" program. Working as a team with staff and other dedicated volunteers, they can make a difference and "give back" to their community. Whether it is lending a hand at special one-day events such as the "Star Spangled Fourth" or assisting employees in city offices with various tasks, their commitment and support is an integral part of the success in growing a vibrant community.

Volunteer Profiles

Evelyn Howell is one of the City of Goodyear's busiest volunteers. Evelyn has been a volunteer since April, 2011 and has been a driving force in spearheading programs and activities within the City's Volunteer Program. Her efforts include coordinating the Adopt-A-Street program, planning and coordinating this year's Make A Difference Day on Oct. 27, creating the new Volunteer Program page on goodyearaz.gov, helping the City Webmaster create and update pages on the City’s website, creating a volunteer survey to learn about volunteers' experiences, and conducting video interviews of selected volunteers for the "Chat with Evelyn" video seen at the 2012 Volunteer Appreciation Event.
