What we do
Goodyear has carefully managed its water supply for years. In 2007, the City completed repairs indicated by a leak detection study. In 2008, the City audited its own water use to assure it does its part to save water. As a result, the City saved 54 million gallons of water since 2007. Now we ask residents to join us in saving water so that we can all thrive in this healthy desert environment for years to come.
In 2009, City of Goodyear water customers used 2.59 billion gallons of water, or 3% less than in 2007. On average they used 7.1 million gallons every day. You can help us keep that number down, even as we grow. It's easy. Use these web pages, sign up for a Home Irrigation Check-up or a class, or pick up a free brochure to learn how to help.
