Police Patrol Division

Welcome to the Goodyear Police Department Patrol Division home page. The Patrol Division is comprised of a Police Commander, Four Patrol Lieutenants, Six patrol sergeants and 42 Police Officers.  Patrol is responsible for actively patrolling all 116 square miles of the City of Goodyear. We currently contract with Maricopa County Sheriff's Office to provide patrol services to the community of Mobile. Our motivated and dedicated professionals provide a full range of patrol services including traditional uniformed patrol, bicycle patrol, as well as focused enforcement in areas that require it. Our Patrol Officers will take initial crime reports, conduct preliminary investigations and conduct follow up on cases as needed.

Most recently, our Patrol vehicles are getting a face lift. Over the next few years as new vehicles are added to the fleet they will be painted in the traditional black and white color scheme along with updated decals. The older designed vehicles will remain in the fleet until they reach the end of their service life. This new traditional design is another step this Department is taking to be better recognized and act as a better deterrent to crime.
