What we do
The Traffic Operations and Streets Divisions manage the
traffic control signs and devices within the City of Goodyear, assuring an
efficient and safe flow of traffic. They are also responsible for the
maintenance of streets, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, shoulders,
street signage, roadway striping, bridges, and storm drains. This Division
also manages the pavement management program; street sweeping and emergency
clean-up and coordinates the City's street lighting program with Arizona
Public Service which owns all the city's street lights. These divisions
coordinated with Valley Metro and West Valley Hospital to create a temporary
Park and Ride facility near the hospital. Express bus service to downtown Phoenix is available at this site until a permanent Park and Ride facility is built just
east of the temporary location.
