Pssst. Have you heard? Everyone thinks their city is the best and now Goodyear has the national recognition to prove it. Money magazine ranks Goodyear the #22 Best Place to Live in 2019
“Years of strategic planning has helped us get to this point,” said Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord. “Goodyear is the best place to live! Maintaining a high quality of life for our residents is important and it’s certainly an honor to receive this recognition.”

Money magazine ranked cities based on eight categories:

  • Economy
  • Cost of Living
  • Diversity
  • Education
  • Housing
  • Health & Safety
  • Amenities
  • Ease of Living

So why Goodyear? Well, we think – why not? But here are some of the reasons Money cited:

  • Business Growth: A brand-new Microsoft campus and a Nike manufacturing facility will bring more than 500 full-time jobs to Goodyear.
  • Jobs: Job growth continues to climb and is projected to go up 7.7% by 2023 in the area.
  • Recreation: Goodyear gets 296 sunny days a year, and residents enjoy stunning desert landscapes nestled beneath Estrella Mountain Regional Park.
