RideChoice Program is Here
Valley Metro’s new RideChoice program is now offered in Goodyear. RideChoice is an on-demand transportation program for ADA paratransit certified people. In order to qualify for ADA certification, it must be determined that a person has a disability which limits travel on transit (bus, light rail) according to the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. The eligibility determination process considers the individual’s disability and functional ability to perform all tasks required to independently access, board, ride and de-board from local transit services. The combined interaction of disability with architectural and environmental conditions is also taken into account.
Once you are ADA certified you can enroll in RideChoice.
What is the Process for Getting ADA Certified? You can get your ADA certification at the Valley Metro Mobility Center in Phoenix. The Mobility Center schedules assessments on non-holiday weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and free transportation to and from the Mobility Center is available. To make an appointment or for questions about ADA certification, contact the Valley Metro Mobility Center at 602-716-2100 and choose the “eligibility” option. Calls are answered on non-holiday weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
