Many dedicated and talented people work hard every day to keep the city of Goodyear moving forward and to provide the best resources and services that we can for our community. We do it because we love what we do, but it’s always nice to be recognized for our efforts. Here are some of the awards and acknowledgements that our city departments and employees have received for the work that they are doing:

Goodyear Detective Named Elks Club Officer of the Year for Arizona

Last year, Goodyear Detective Noah Yeo was named Police Officer of the Year by the local Elks Lodge. Detective Yeo is now being recognized at the state level by the Arizona Elks Association, which encompasses over 50 individual lodges, as the Police Officer of the Year. On Saturday, he will be honored at the Elk’s special awards breakfast ceremony.

Detective Yeo has been with the Goodyear Police Department since 2008, and a detective since 2014. Over the past two years, he has investigated over 62 deaths, including some that generated international media attention. We are proud to have Detective Yeo, a talented investigator, on our team.
