Goodyear Cancels Star Spangled Fourth
Due to a new executive order issued by Governor Ducey today, the city of Goodyear has cancelled its Star Spangled Fourth Drive-In event. The Governor’s order prohibits gatherings of 50 people or more.
In addition to the cancellation of the event, the city is also closing the Goodyear Community Park splash pad at 3151 N. Litchfield Road which will go into effect tomorrow, June 30, until further notice.
For at least the next thirty days, the order also closes all bars in Arizona while allowing them to provide pickup, delivery or drive-through services. It also closes gyms, fitness clubs or centers, movie theatres, water parks, and tubing operators.
The Governor also announced that the start of the school year has been delayed to August 17, 2020.
