Construction of several businesses is underway in downtown Goodyear, off McDowell Road and 150th Drive. The area, which is called GSQ, will be a walkable urban center with high-quality restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Spitz Mediterranean Street Food is the latest to announce it will soon be opening at GSQ. Spitz is named after the classic vertical way of cooking meat to ensure a flavorful rich taste. Their menu is a modern take on Mediterranean food and includes their spin on wraps, gyros, salads and fries. They also have a vegan menu.  

“We're really excited to be part of GSQ," said Jaskarn Singh, owner of the Goodyear Spitz location. "When you visit Spitz, you'll see nice art in a friendly environment with great music, good drinks and really great food." 

“I am thrilled to welcome Spitz to our growing GSQ community! Their food is a fantastic addition to the diverse culinary experience we are trying to build," said Mayor Joe Pizzillo. "This is another exciting step forward in making Goodyear a vibrant and attractive destination for residents and visitors alike."

Spitz is expected to open this summer and will be the third one in the Valley. 

GSQ is owned and being developed by Globe Corp., a family business, and is set to be a destination - the heart of Goodyear - that residents have long desired.
