Goodyear is making waves! The city recently earned four statewide awards from the Arizona Water Association, recognizing top-tier performance in water and wastewater services - and a strong commitment to safety. 

“I couldn’t be prouder of our Water Services team,” said Goodyear City Manager Wynette Reed. “These awards are a reflection of the dedication, expertise and safety-first mindset our staff brings to work every day. They play a huge role in keeping our community running smoothly, and it’s great to see their hard work recognized across the state.” 

The city’s Water Services Department took home the Wastewater Collection System of the Year award, a big honor that highlights Goodyear’s excellent service, system performance and strict regulatory compliance. 

The city also received three AZ Water Safety Awards, celebrating its outstanding safety record in 2024 - including zero injuries. That’s no small feat, especially for a crew that regularly works in high-risk environments like confined spaces. 

These awards reflect the city’s ongoing commitment to delivering safe, reliable water services while keeping employee safety front and center.
