As the holiday season approaches, we want to help you plan ahead for changes to your trash and recycling pickup schedule. While most holidays do not impact collection services, there are a few exceptions to be aware of.

There will be no trash, recycling or bulk collection on the following dates:

• Nov. 27: Thanksgiving Day

• Dec. 25: Christmas Day

• Jan. 1: New Year’s Day

If your regular pickup day falls on one of these holidays, your service will shift to the next day. For example, Thursday routes on Thanksgiving will move to Friday, and Friday routes will move to Saturday. The same pattern applies to Christmas and New Year’s week.

Pro tip: Goodyearaz.gov/trash is also where you can find out what you can and can’t be recycled by using the Recycle Right Wizard tool. Type in any item to find out which bin it needs to be tossed into!
