A Look Back & What's Ahead for the City in 2026

As 2026 gets underway, the city of Goodyear is reflecting on the many successes of 2025 and looking ahead to more this new year.
The latest issue of InFocus showcases the accomplishments and priorities shaping the city. The issue highlights how Goodyear continues to prioritize public safety and how it’s attracting highly-desired businesses and investing in projects to meet current and future needs.
- Public safety milestones, including investments in police and fire staffing, technology and emergency response. In the 2025 National Community Survey, 95% of residents said they feel safe in their neighborhood.
- Business and development growth, with major openings and announcements including Trader Joe's and Buc-ee's. Buc-ee's is scheduled to open this summer.
- Community connection and activities, from record-breaking events and recreational activities to new amenities that are bringing residents together. Goodyear City Hall, GSQ - Goodyear's Downtown and Goodyear Ballpark will be connected with a nearly three-mile trail extension. Construction is expected later this year.
