building-safetyThe Building Safety Division ensures quality construction for the City's residents by regulating building construction and building occupancy. We enforce the City's building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and zoning ordinances. We also enforce other applicable state and local laws and ordinances.

In order to best serve our customers, the Development Counter is now open to the public in a limited capacity. We are currently assisting ONLY the following services:

  • Drop off of paper plans for projects currently in review
  • Pick-up of paper plans for projects currently in review
  • Drop-off of payments for existing projects

Any customers wanting to speak with staff, should continue to contact them via phone or email.  Once payment has been made, all documentation will be uploaded into our Electronic Plan Review System, and you will be notified to download your permit.

If the project was approved on paper, request for payment will be emailed to the contact listed. Permits will be emailed after payment is received.

In addition, we are limiting the number of customers to no more than 5 at a time. In the event we have reached capacity, the doors will be locked until other customers have left.
