The Development Services Code Compliance Division's goal is to keep Goodyear beautiful.  We work to educate citizens on city property code requirements, build relationships, and facilitate mediation when necessary.  We conduct proactive field inspections, provide information regarding City Codes and signage as well as encourage voluntary compliance.  Additionally, we respond to citizen complaints and enforce City Codes through established procedures.

When a complaint is received the following steps are taken:

  • Complaint Received - Case is Opened
  • First Inspection and Notice - Door Hanger or Advisory Letter (Within 1 Business Day of Receipt)
  • 2nd Inspection and Final Notice - If Violation Still Exists (Within 14 Days of Initial Notice)
  • Final Inspection and Legal Action - If Violation Still Exists (Within 14 days of Final Notice)
  • Legal Action
