Make A Difference Day is a nationwide effort dedicated to helping others, when millions of people join together on the fourth Saturday of every October and take action to help change the world.

In Goodyear, volunteers helped with 15 projects on Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 27, 2012:

  • Painting the homes of two Goodyear senior residents
  • Landscaping cleanup of five well sites in the City
  • Giving the Goodyear Community Pool fence a fresh coat of paint
  • Painting the gates and doors of the Police Station and two Fire Stations in the City
  • Painting nearly 270 fire hydrants in Canyon Trails and Estrella
  • Distributing YANA door hangers to over 6,000 homes in Estrella.
