On Saturday, October 24, 2015, the City of Goodyear celebrated its 8th Make a Difference Day, which coincides with Make a Difference Day held nationally every 4th Saturday of October.  It is the largest national day of volunteering - a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. 

Nearly 250 volunteers from several community groups in the City of Goodyear completed projects that helped the City's residents and improved its neighborhoods.   Volunteers worked together on 10 projects, including:

  • Painting the homes of 2 Goodyear senior residents
  • Painting the block wall fence of a City well site
  • Painting 117 fire hydrants around the Ballpark and in Canyon Trails 4 South
  • Cleaning the areas around the Ballpark and on Wood Boulevard
  • Cleaning and weeding the yard and washing the windows of the homes of 3 Goodyear senior residents.
