City of Goodyear Maintains Important City Services During Stay-at-Home Order 

In an effort to be proactive, the city of Goodyear is taking action to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. 

Open areas at city parks remain open, including restrooms and drinking fountains, during regular hours from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Areas that will close include playgrounds, the skate park, dog parks, and recreation areas including basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and tennis courts, as well as ball fields. Park rangers and staff will continue to monitor areas and educate patrons on the importance of complying with the order. 

The following events involving large crowds have been cancelled:

Spring Training at Goodyear Ballpark: through March 22 
Hazardous Household Waste Collection: March 21 
Culture Pop block party: March 28 
Hop & Hops: April 11 
Spring Concert Series: March 21, and April 4 
- Shred-A-Thon: April 4  
Goodyear Lakeside Music Fest: April 18 
Goodyear Library is closed 
- All recreation programs through end of April

Parks Cleaning Schedule:

- Playgrounds, benches, and tables cleaned daily via pressure washer with calcium hypochlorite until further notice
- Restrooms cleaned at Goodyear Community Park and Falcon Park four times daily, Roscoe Dog Park twice daily 
- Restrooms to be locked at night, reopened at 6 a.m. daily
