Recreation Campus Flyover

Project Overview

This future park is part of the City Council's vision to offer healthy choices and recreational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. This recreation campus will be designed to serve the adjacent neighborhoods while also providing unique amenities for residents city-wide. The campus will serve as the ultimate gathering place for the community to partake in a myriad of activities that foster a sense of community, promote healthy lifestyles (active and passive), and enhance the quality of life. Within the 86-acre site, phase one of the project will consist of a 30-acre community park and recreation & aquatics center. Park amenities include multipurpose fields, 3-tier playground, baseball/softball fields, sport courts, group picnic ramadas and an art plaza. The 48,000 sq. ft. Recreation Center amenities include multipurpose gymnasium, activity rooms, fitness area, indoor walking/running track, and a dedicated area for social gaming/teen activity. Outdoor Aquatic amenities include 25-yard lap pool, play pool with zero-depth entry and play structure, a lazy river, and two slides. Additionally, convenient and contiguous pedestrian paths and trails will be present throughout the site, ensuring seamless and harmonious connectivity with all surrounding communities.
