Paint Ur Palette focuses on painting a landscape or still life complete with step by step instructions. This summer we will paint the fruit tree and cacti, the sweet fruit, and explore the flight of a beach bird. One session we will be “looking up” to the brighter skies in one-point perspective. Join in the fun and create with what we have around the house in way of brushes and canvas. Using an 8 x 10 canvas or larger (new or reuse of an old canvas), beginners and experienced artists will paint along with Debra as she leads in setting up the horizon and color mixing.

Supplies needed:

  • Canvas of 8 x 10 or larger (can use an old painting that you can paint right over!) You might use a paper bag or panelboard!
  • Acrylic paint in Primary colors (red, yellow, Blue) plus white. Green and Orange optional
  • Two brush types (Large rough bristle (feels rough) and smaller round sable (feels soft))
  • Cup of water
  • Napkins
  • 2-3 Foam plates for mixing colors
  • Apron

Instructions for joining your live virtual event through Zoom will be emailed directly to you the day before your event. Once you join, we will bring the creativity to your screen!
