New construction projects will be assigned addresses as part of the civil/building plan review. New subdivisions created through final plats will be assigned addresses following recordation with the county. Suite addresses are assigned as part of the building plan review for tenant improvements.

Applicants will be provided a submittal checklist that includes the requirement of an AutoCAD, and Address Request Form upon approval of their Development Review Application (Ex: Site Plan, Site Plan Amendment. Preliminary Plat, etc.)

If you have already gone through the civil engineering plan review or land division process, or need an address or suite assignment for a building permit that does not require civil construction or land division, please email an AutoCAD and an Address Request Form to addressrequests@goodyearaz.gov. 

Requirements:

• Address Request Form (complete for all permit types needing an address)
• AutoCAD file (.dwg) - coordinates meet Maricopa County Survey Control (GDACS)
  • Include all layers represented in submitted plans:
    • Utility features (water, sewer, storm sewer, traffic signal, street light)
    • Land base features (parcel & subdivision boundaries)
    • Dedications or abandonments (right-of-way and easements)

City of Goodyear Standard Layers Template (.dwt) - reference layers of City base map (streets, parcels, 1/4 section grid, City survey control monuments) and examples of preferred naming conventions. The City adopts a simplified AutoCAD Layer Standard based on National CAD Standard (NCS)

As-Built AutoCAD Requirements:

All final as-built PDF drawings shall be accompanied by an AutoCAD file with the as-built adjustments made to the base file for all water, sewer, and storm sewer utility lines and structures. The AutoCAD file shall be named the same as the As-Built document with “AutoCAD” at the end of the file name.
