Development Engineering Division

The Plan Review Division is responsible for the examination and approval of development and construction plans for improvements in the city right-of-way and site improvements on private property; this includes construction drawings, and water, sewer, traffic, and drainage master plans. The division is also integral to the review and approval of cases and entitlement documents processed through the Planning and Zoning Division of Development Services, e.g., site plans, preliminary and final plats, rezoning requests, and special use permits. Lastly, the division is responsible for maintaining the city of Goodyear Engineering Design Standards.

Small Sites

  • Area of land disturbance is less than 1 acre, and
  • not part of a Larger Common Plan of Development or Sale, and
  • located farther than 1/4 mile from impaired or unique waters
