Renters: A copy of your signed lease is required, along with Property Owner/Landlord mailing address and phone number. You may attach your lease to your application or email it to goodyearutilities@goodyearaz.gov.
Owners: Please provide the Escrow Number and name of Title Company.
Listing Agents: A copy of your listing assignment is required. It can be attached in the application or emailed to goodyearutilities@goodyearaz.gov.
Property Managers: A fully executed PMA is required. It may be attached in the application or emailed to goodyearutilities@goodyearaz.gov.
You will receive confirmation e-mails as each step of the processes is completed. All required documentation may be attached to the application or emailed to goodyearutilities@goodyearaz.gov. Until all required information is received, we are unable to process your request and your application will remain incomplete.
The deposit may be waived if one of the following is met
- A Letter of Credit is provided from another utility showing no late payments or delinquencies for 12 consecutive months within the last 18 months.
- Current City of Goodyear utility customers may also qualify if their own payment history shows no late payments or delinquencies for 12 consecutive months within the last 18 months.
- The Letter of Credit must be received within 10 days of the application submission to qualify for a waiver.
- Account summaries or payment‑history printouts cannot be accepted as a Letter of Credit.
Your letter of credit may be attached to the application or emailed to: goodyearutilities@goodyearaz.gov.
*Deposits will be applied to the final bill. Any unused portion will be refunded once the account is closed. Unless you choose the same day activation option, allow two (2) business days from date of submission and all the required information has been received for service to begin on the next business day (excluding weekends).
**Same-Day Activation requests must be submitted by 3 p.m. on the date service is requested.
To Activate Your Account
Please read the Utility Welcome Letter to ensure you have all the correct documents in order to set up your account. Then, complete the online Utility Application. The City of Goodyear allows its customers to choose from two sizes of containers for both trash and recycling. We offer 95-gallon and 65-gallon containers. The monthly fee is the same regardless of which container size is chosen. To view container sizes, click here. Only those applications that are properly completed will be accepted. Do not print the online form and fill out by hand, to request a printable application by mail or e-mail, please call the Finance Department at 623-882-7887.
